At the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2015 show (ISE), to be held from 10 to 12 February, visitors to the Shure stand will have the opportunity to experience established Shure technologies including RF microphone systems for conferencing audio applications, Microflex Wireless, plus the digital wireless microphone systems ULX-D and QLX-D.

Additionally, there will be DIS DDS 5900 and DIS DCS 6000 discussions and conferencing systems will be on show, together with the newly introduced CP 7890 camera control solution, which can be used in conjunction with both systems to remotely control up to four networked cameras. The control app for CP 7890 is compatible with Apple iOS devices and now also available for Android.

Furthermore, Shure will be presenting its product-related software solutions emphasising functionality and ease of use: visitors can explore how to configure, coordinate, control and monitor Shure systems with Wireless Workbench 6, ShurePlus Channels, Shure Web Device Discovery, Shure Update Utility, MXW Webserver, SCM820 Webserver and DCS 6000 Webserver.

Away from Shure’s stand, three free-to-attend presentations will take place. The first two concern recent installations involving Shure technology and will be held in the Commercial Solutions Theatre:

• 16h00, 10 February: Thomas Kraupe, director of the Hamburg Planetarium, will examine creative possibilities afforded by Atmosphea — a 3D sound system co-developed by Shure and the Fraunhofer Institute and recently installed at the Hamburg Planetarium. Atmosphea allows the realistic placement of sound sources in a truly immersive three-dimensional sound space, as well as the creation of bespoke room acoustics, and can seamlessly manage audio installations comprising up to 1024 channels

• Midday, 12 February: Clemens Sturm, commercial market manager at Shure Distribution GmbH, will present a case study on the recent installation of a DIS DCS 6000 conferencing and interpretation system at the parliament of ECOWAS (the Economic Community of 15 Western African Countries) in Abuja, Nigeria. He will explain some of the challenges of the installation — for example how to handle discussions in the parliament across two auditoriums and five committee rooms, and simultaneous translations to and from local languages — and how the system dealt with these

• 14h30, 12 February: A condensed version of the Shure Academy European Audio Network’s renowned day-long Wireless Mastered seminar will be held in the Elicium. Aimed at all event production staff, and anyone that regularly uses wireless technology, the session covers all aspects of RF technology and wireless microphone operation, including discussions of the changing availability of RF spectrum use. Shure wireless technology will be used as a practical reference, including PSM900 / PSM1000 in-ear monitoring, UHF-R, QLX-D, ULX-D and Axient wireless microphone systems, as well as Wireless Workbench 6 and ShurePlus Channels software.

Last but not least, Shure is participating in the Dante AV Networking World event in Amsterdam, presenting its Dante-enabled solutions. This free, all-day conference is taking place on 9 February at the Amsterdam Holiday Inn, beginning at 09h00. The event will feature panel discussions, presentations and workshops about converged AV and IT networks.
