Electrosonic SA, one of the leading distributors of professional AV technology in the country, has expanded their team with the inclusion of Sithembiso Xaba in the Marketing department, Bertus Roux, who will be joining the Live Events Products team, and Motlotlo Mac Makhobotloane, who will be joining the sales team.
Sithembiso Xaba is a copywriter and social media coordinator with extensive experience in social media management and digital content creation. Reflecting on her new position, Xaba says: “I’m excited about my new role at Electrosonic and hope to grow and learn as much as I can about live events entertainment and audiovisual technology. In my spare time; I crochet, visit food markets, hang out with my son and squeeze in naps whenever I can.”
Bertus Roux has worked as a freelancer in lighting and sound for the events market for the past 12 years. “I’ve always admired Electrosonic, as they offer some of the best products for the entertainment industry as well as the corporate environment,” says Roux. “My goal at the company is to give my utmost best in solving technical issues regarding our products and to learn more about the industry. I recently got married to my amazing wife Mignon, who is the pillar of support and also the best thing that has happened to me.”
Motlotlo Mac Makhobotloane joins the Electrosonic Live Events Sales team with a strong Technical Support background. Makhobotloane started lighting shows at a young age and began pursuing professional lighting at the Drakensberg Boys Choir and later graduated from the Tshwane University of Technology with a Bachelor of Technology in Theatre Lighting Design. Motlotlo looks to dedicate himself to assisting and developing personnel and establishments in the South African entertainment industry. In his spare time, Motlotlo enjoys listening to music, hiking and dabbling in adventure sports.
