Intervate, a T-Systems company, specialising in digital transformation solutions
centred around user productivity, user experience, business process automation and
enterprise content management solutions, recently unveiled its new brand identity.
The new brand aims to reaffirm Intervate’s philosophy of “anything’s possible’ while
aligning the brand more closely with that of the parent company, T-Systems South
Africa.

Says Craig Mitchelmore, head of Intervate (North), “We have been successfully
delivering cutting-edge solutions for over seventeen years, and in that time we have
established ourselves as the leading South African Microsoft partner for information,
worker and collaboration solutions. Becoming a part of the global T-Systems
organisation has created opportunities for us to expand our horizons, tap into new
growth opportunities and develop new competencies and solution offerings that are
assisting organisations to engage their digital transformation strategies. Our new
brand stands to reaffirm our commitment to innovation while underscoring our
cohesive ties with T-Systems.’

Intervate’s brand relaunch follows hot on the heels of T-Systems’ announcement to
partner closely with Microsoft, to assist organisations in taking full advantage of
Microsoft’s Azure Cloud computing service. Microsoft recently announced plans to
deploy local Azure datacentres in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

“The combined relationships that both Intervate and T-Systems have with Microsoft
will enable us to leverage Azure as our hyperscale public cloud platform of choice. This
will strengthen and extend our Microsoft offering while T-Systems’ customers can tap
into Intervate’s user-centric, innovation-driven portfolio of offerings. The synergies are
extensive and create a perfect triangulation,’ adds Mitchelmore.

“The market is changing rapidly, and we need to assist our customers to engage the
digital era effectively,’ says Mpumi Nhlapo, head of marketing and communications at
T-Systems South Africa. “We have been working towards aligning the T-Systems and
Intervate teams more closely to bridge our core value propositions and build synergies
between the two organisations, delivering greater value to our customers.’

One such example is the recently announced Design Thinking Labs, a consulting
service that marries creative technology concepts together with design thinking
principles and applies them to solve business problems. The new offering will not only
help Intervate to co-create solutions to resolve burning business problems with their
customers but will also be used to drive a new form of engagement with customers
within T-Systems as well.

Nhlapo adds, “Furthermore, customers are looking for unique and consumer-led
solutions. The Intervate brand coupled with a reaffirmed collaboration with the
broader T-Systems is aimed at strengthening our ability to deliver exactly that while
remaining a step ahead of the curve.’

Intervate will retain its autonomy as a separate business within T-Systems, and the
team will continue, as a group of agile, innovative, creative strategists, to introduce
innovative solutions for enterprises to be able to engage their customers as well as
their internal communities in the rapidly evolving digital world.
