Mediatech Africa, the biennial advanced media, entertainment and integrated technologies trade show, is currently being held at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg and will run from 17 – 19 July.
Visitors to Mediatech Africa can look forward to seeing products from some of the world’s leading manufacturers of technology designed for the live events market – many of which have recently been launched at the latest iterations of Prolight+Sound, NAB and ISE.
In addition to the groundbreaking range of lighting, sound and staging gear on the tradeshow floor, Mediatech offers visitors a range of presentations, product demonstrations and special events during the show.
The exceedingly popular show stopper Black Box returns to Mediatech “If you were in awe of what the team pulled off in 2017 – you’ll be spellbound this year,” says Mediatech Africa show director Simon Robinson who adds, “It’s hard to improve on perfection, but Creative Works and the team who has laboured on the project have exceeded all expectations, adding new elements and twists to the vibrant automated light and audiovisual experience – which this year will break the constraints of the box.” Presentations by Joshua Cutts and Christopher Bolton will be running throughout the three-day event.

In addition, visitors to the show can attend product demonstrations by some of the leading manufacturers of technology for the live events industry. Viva Afrika will be presenting their innovative range of Hybrid lighting on stand A9, and Claypaky will be demonstrating the groundbreaking Xtylos – a world-first moving light that incorporates laser technology.
The outside sound demonstration area will host demonstrations featuring technology by Nexo, Audiocentre, DB Technologies, Next Proaudio, N9 Audio, and IMIX Sound among others.
The show also offers an impressive program of presentations aimed at entertainment technology professionals, covering a wide range of topics.
