Messe Frankfurt has announced the signing of a joint-venture agreement
with Chinese exhibition organiser Guangdong International Science and
Technology Exhibition Company (STE) to work together on ProSound + Light
Guangzhou, which is China’s second largest and Southern China’s largest
industry show for the professional audio and lighting industry.
The 2013 edition of ProSound + Light Guangzhou will take place 9 – 12
March at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou,
China and is expected to attract more than 900 exhibitors in an
exhibition space of 90,000 sqm. In 2012, the show attracted 757
exhibitors who displayed their products and services in 70,000 sqm. Held
concurrently with Music Guangzhou, more than 43,257 people visited the
show.
A well regarded industry event now in its eleventh edition, ProSound +
Light Guangzhou is supported by the Department of Science and Technology
of Guangdong Province, Department of Culture of Guangdong Province,
Enping Municipal People’s Government, Guangdong Science and Technology
Exchange Centre with Foreign Countries, China Association of Recording
Engineers, Guangdong Entertainment Association, Guangdong Association of
Recording Engineers, Guangzhou University AV & Lighting Technology
Institute and the Guangdong Hi-Tech Enterprise Association.

ProSound + Light Guangzhou is strategically well placed to offer a
variety of sourcing options as Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong
Province is China’s pro audio and lighting base with around 80 percent
of pro sound and lighting manufacturers producing 70 to 80 percent of
China’s pro audio products. While Enping city, located in southwest of
Guangdong, is recognised as the microphone import and export base, where
the gross export value is around USD 120 million (about 60 percent of
China’s total export value). Furthermore, Huadu District, located in the
