Tuesday, 3 June 2014 saw local audio and lighting equipment distributor Audiosure invite their pool of dealers for a delicious early breakfast. Despite the cold front moving in and a very fresh breeze, a surprisingly large group attended the gathering; something Audiosure hopes to make a monthly occurrence.
Following the delicious breakfast a series of announcements were made by sales manager Greg Payne and head of training Neill Pash to keep dealers abreast of Audiosure inter-company news, new products and potential product specials. The announcements also included the introduction of newly appointed brand managers, each handling specific groups of products.
The new brand managers include:
• High-end: Brendan Venter
• Samson and Hartke: Neill Pash
• Wharfedale Pro and DJ: Shane Brummer
• Commercial brands: Camilla Brengosz
Following the introduction of these new key personnel Pash alerted and introduced the attendees to new Audiosure products. These included the Allen and Heath Qu-24, the larger format follow-on to the highly successful Qu-16 digital audio console/recording interface/DAW controller. Also showcased was the new range of Samson SXD-series power amplifiers now featuring on-board DSP and the Samson Expedition-series of compact and affordable PA systems that range from 150 to 1000 watts. Other new Samson products included the Stage XPD1 USB digital wireless microphone system, the Mixpad-series of USB mixers with digital effects, various new USB midi controllers in the Graphite-series, the new MTR-series of retro-modern styled condenser microphones and the highly affordable Studio GT Pro recording bundle.
