Powersoft’s growing market penetration over the past 12 months is reflected in the
much larger booth to which the company will be welcoming its customers at this
year’s Frankfurt Prolight+Sound — situated in Pro Audio’s new Hall 3.1 location.
To provide their growing roster of international users with an ergonomic
experience, the company will display its products in dedicated zones, focusing
respectively on M-Force, Amplifier Modules, Installation, Touring and Deva. This will
be surrounded by a Hospitality / Bar area while at the rear of the main wall they
will display products representing Powersoft milestones over the years — reminding
the industry of just how far they have come.
Opting to show products by application rather than technical characteristic, they will
have three desks, each dedicated to Touring, Install and the Amp Module line. While
one side of each desk will be dedicated to Armonia — enabling visitors to gain
hands-on experience of the software — the second will be assigned to product
application.
Taking the touring desk as an example, a TV monitor will show a list of different
speaker types and formats, from large-scale line arrays to point source, subwoofers
and stage monitors. By selecting one of them, the interactive system will show
another list of loudspeaker models that can be driven from the preset. Finally, by
selecting the loudspeaker that the visitor is interesting in, the system will show
(and recommend) the Powersoft rack amp that best works with that solution.
There will be similar processes for Amp Modules and Install, showing the same
prompts. “This is a deliberate strategy to engage with customers,’ states Powersoft
Brand and Communication Director, Francesco Fanicchi. “Visitors can learn more
about our rack amps, and get to know the technical characteristics of each.’
Even Deva will be assigned a dedicated and interactive area. Responding to market
feedback, Powersoft has identified three segments: infotainment, Entertainment and
Surveillance, with three dedicated Deva units for each discipline. For Entertainment:
Visitors will be invited to connect their mobile phone (or other device) to Deva via
Bluetooth and play a music track. For Surveillance: A text line will inform visitors
that Deva is watching them, while a monitor will show streaming live which HD
camera Deva is taking. For Infotainment: Visitors will be invited to push a button
and listen to what Deva has to say: a welcome message will be given to the visitor
followed by a description of Deva’s entire functionalities. At the same time,
Powersoft will use PL+S as an opportunity to launch the new Deva website: http://deva.powersoft.it
Finally, Powersoft will be participating as a speaker at the Manufacturers Forum
during PL+S 2016. The topic is An Electric Eye on Loudspeakers: Using Live
Impedance Measurements to Improve the Performance of Sound Systems. This will
be centred on demystifying impedance measurements — today a function easily
performed with Powersoft amplifiers during system tuning and diagnostics.
This presentation will take place on Wednesday, April 6, from 12.00pm-1pm at
Forum C, Raum Substanz.
