XL Video UK announced a large investment in d3’s Pro range of media servers, adding 12 new units to its inventory. This new addition to its existing fleet makes XL Video the largest rental stockist of d3 media servers worldwide.
The company has made the investment as a result of growing demand for d3 from all sectors of the rental market including concert touring, and events agencies. As well as providing training, XL Video has a team of in-house technicians with high-level d3 expertise who can provide support with 3D modelling and pre visualisation for shows, enabling clients to see how their show will look, even from the early design stage. Christian Dickens systems manager for XL Video has now become d3 certified trainer, to ensure that XL Video provides the highest level of support for the new d3 machines.
Dickens comments: “We are seeing growing demand from our clients for this incredibly powerful and highly reliable media server. We’ve made a commitment to develop our expertise with the d3 system so we can assist our clients to take full advantage of all of d3’s features.’
The new d3 units will be located in the UK and with XL’s Touring team in Los Angeles, ensuring availability on both sides of the Atlantic.
