Electro-Voice and Dynacord sound systems made history with a debut installation in the Sri Maha Mariamman temple, in Kuala Lumpur, which was founded in the 1920s. The temple was formerly located in Ladang Midlands and relocated to Section 7, Shah Alam, Selangor in year 2008.
With the help from the public and the government, the temple was reconstructed to improve the entire building of the temple in accordance to the development of Section 7, Shah Alam. The committee members of the temple decided that a new sound system which produced powerful and crystal clear sound was needed in the main prayer hall to facilitate daily prayers. Their top priority for the sound system is to ensure devotees could be immersed in prayers, songs and mantra led by the temple priest.
To meet this requirement, a customisable sound system that is easy to maintain and user-friendly was proposed. The total sound system comprised the Dynacord range of CMS 1000-3, a high-quality mixer with digital 24/48-bit effects processors, a DSP 260 sound system manager, Corus 12.2 full-range cabinet, and SL 2400 amplifiers. From Electro-Voice, the CDP 850T wide range, integrated horn-and-driver system that comes with a 1829BT driver, PA l250T power amplifier, RE2N2 wireless microphone system and PL24s microphones. The system set-up combination ensures smooth, uninterrupted sound is produced in the prayer hall.
The president and committee members of the temple were extremely pleased with the newly installed sound system, adding that, “Soundline did an excellent job with our AV renovation. They went above and beyond to exceed our expectations and their staff members were extremely professional. We are happy with the result.’
