Receiving its first public showing at ISE 2015 is the Digital Projection 4K LED projector from Digital projection, which is claimed to be the world’s first full 4K 3-chip DLP LED projector.

It merges the detail and clarity of full 4K resolution with the stunning colour space and black levels of LED illumination. Designed for simulation, visualisation, entertainment and other large-screen applications delivering 2 000 lumens of brightness, Digital Projection says that the Insight 4K LED boasts a typical 60 000+ hours of stable solid-state illumination with the use of LEDs as a light source, providing a virtually maintenance-free projector that never requires a lamp replacement.

This projector measures 32,5 cm x 70 cm x 93,5 cm and the company believes that the projector is 40% of the size and weight of the existing 4K projector solutions. The unit has full 4K 3D capability and utilises DisplayPort 1.2 to deliver up to 60 fps 4K sequential inputs via single cable, or Dual Pipe input capability with two DisplayPort 1.2 cables.

The addition of ColorMax technology is said to allow for accurate colour replication across a blended area, making this a good solution for demanding installations in environments with controlled lighting.
