Prosound has recently handed over an Electro-Voice XLD line array system for the
Joburg Theatre’s mobile theatre truck. The system includes an amplifier rack,
specially
put together for the mobile theatre truck, consisting of 2 Electro-Voice Dx46 sound
processors, and 6 Electro-Voice Q1212 amplifiers to power the 8 EV XLD281
compact
line array cabinets and 4 EV TX2181 dual 18-inch subwoofers.
In this application, the ratio between the performance of Electro-Voice’s XLD line
array
and the cost involved prove a win for its use outdoor situations.
