Extron introduces the DTP T FB 232 and DTP T FB 332, two-input transmitters in a unique form factor designed specifically to fit in a variety of floor boxes. The DTP transmitters can be conveniently mounted into a variety of floor boxes from OBO Bettermann, MK by Honeywell, Electraplan, and PUK. The DTP T FB 232 sends HDMI or RGBHV video, audio, and control up to 230 feet (70 meters) over a single shielded CATx cable, while the DTP T FB 332 sends these signals across longer distances up to 330 feet (100 meters). Both transmitters are HDCP compliant and support computer-video to 1920×1200, including HDTV 1080p/60 Deep Colour and 2K. Designed for DTP Systems, the DTP T FB models can be remotely powered by Extron DTP CrossPoint 84 matrix switchers or other DTP-enabled products.
“The DTP T FB transmitters provide the same AV transmission performance and convenience features common to all of our DTP transmitters, with the added benefit of easy installation within a floor box,’ says Rainer Stiehl, Vice President of Marketing, Europe for Extron. “These DTP transmitters support a variety of applications, including portable lecterns, AV system carts, configurable rooms, and streamlined installation under boardroom tables.’
The DTP T FB 232 and DTP T FB 332 feature automatic switching between inputs with selectable prioritization and RS-232 remote control for easy operation in unmanaged locations, plus assignment of the stereo analog audio pass-through input. The DTP transmitters also provide reliable switching and transmission of HDMI signals, supporting Deep Colour up to 12-bit and embedded HD lossless audio formats. The DTP T FB models feature EDID Minder to manage EDID communication between sources and the display. To streamline integration, the transmitters also support bidirectional RS-232 and IR pass-through for AV device control at remote locations. For additional convenience, the DTP twisted pair output can be used for sending video and embedded audio, plus bidirectional control signals to any HDBaseT-enabled display.
