SkyGroup Communications is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to distribute the Huddly cameras in Southern Africa. This enables resellers to quickly and efficiently assist customers to set up a huddle room that supports full interoperability with any video conferencing or software collaboration applications.
With a Huddly camera, you can simply place it into the USB port on your laptop, launch your video conferencing app, such as VideoHUB, Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams, and immediately start a video conference from wherever you are. The cameras are portable, compact and lightweight, making them the perfect alternative for huddle rooms, remote workers or pop-up offices.
“Huddle rooms are growing in popularity in South Africa because they make it that much easier for a business to set up a technology-ready meeting space without the inhibitive costs of large-scale video conferencing environments designed for big boardrooms,” states Marius van Wyk, Technical and Operations Director at SkyGroup Communications. “The reason we selected Huddly as a partner is because of the simplicity of the design, its interoperability with already available conferencing solutions, as well as the sheer quality of the cameras themselves.”
The Huddly GO Camera is the start of a new breed of intelligent collaboration cameras and boasts a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 cable. The software on the camera supports, high-quality video scaling and dewarping, flicker elimination, automatic white balance, optical aberration correction and 3D noise reduction. In addition, its wide angle lens (150° diagonal wide-angle lens) ensures that you aren’t literally “huddled” around a laptop and that everyone in the meeting is visible and captured on screen.
The camera is completely Plug & Play with a driverless install that is supported on Linux, Chrome, Windows and MacOS. It has a host of flexible mounting options that makes it suitable for desktop and room scenarios, and as it is compatible with virtually all collaboration software platforms, no additional investment is required. The video boasts HD 720p 30fps output with low latency and a 16:9 aspect ratio.
“We are very pleased to have SkyGroup Communications as one of our key distribution partners for Southern Africa. The Huddly GO is the start of a new range of solutions which Huddly will bring to the market to address the need for high quality, intelligent collaboration cameras, suited to any collaboration software platform and we look forward to working with SkyGroup in bringing it to the market,” says Fraser Park, vice president Sales and Strategy at Huddly.
