Middle Atlantic Products recently announced that its innovative, first-of-its-kind
power solution, the DC Power Distribution, won two industry awards at CEDIA 2016.
The DC Power Distribution solution won CEDIA’s Best New Product Award and
Residential Systems’ 2016 Best of Show Award.

customers that they were struggling to power the growing number of small devices

DC Power Distribution is the industry’s first centralized DC power solution for AV,
security, and residential applications. Perfectly engineered to power devices such as
extenders, scalers, converters, and media players, the unit eliminates messy,
space-consuming wall warts and other power clutter with a universal power solution
for DC-powered devices. DC Power Distribution products are available as 45W DC
compact and 125W DC 1RU systems, allowing the system to fit anywhere, including
typical rack units, small enclosures, and wall boxes. Integrators simply trim leads
to streamline their installations. System features include a color-coded screw
terminal connector platform, polarity labelling for multiple voltage outputs,
convenient USB ports to power compatible products, AC convenience outlets on the
45W model, and LED output activity indicator lights. The result is a solution that is
intuitive to install, reduces design modifications, and saves labour time and costs.
The CEDIA Best New Product Award honours the industry’s top products within the
last year. The awards are judged by a qualified panel of home technology
professionals who are in the trenches selling and installing the latest residential AV
products. Residential Systems’ 2016 Best of Show Awards honour outstanding
products exhibited at CEDIA 2016. Winners were selected by a panel of anonymous
professional integrator and journalist judges, who evaluated the product entries
based on written award submissions and visual inspections on the CEDIA show floor.
