We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support during what
has been an eventful 2017 for the professional LIVE events industry. At Pro-Systems
Africa News, we have seen a change in the editorial team, which we hope will take the
publication to new heights in the year ahead.
I, Nicole Barnes, have stepped into the role of editor on the magazine with the full
support of Claire Badenhorst, who will be taking a leading role in ensuring that the
publication is strategically aligned to respond to the needs of the technical live events
and AV markets in South Africa and Africa. Please keep in touch with myself at

coming year so that we can bring your triumphs to the attention of the broader
market.
As we head into the holiday season, we have decided to highlight a few of the
inspiring projects that have been undertaken to assist those a little less fortunate than
ourselves, in addition to the usual weekly roundup of news from across the
professional live events industry.
While we have only managed to cover a very small sample of all of the outreach work
done by the industry in the lead up to the holidays and throughout the year – we
would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge each and every company, division
and individual that has contributed their time, resources or skills to uplifting
vulnerable members of our community this year.
