Visitors to the Crestron booth at InfoComm 2014 were drawn to the Sharp PN-L802B 80″ LED interactive display system used to demo the Crestron RL group collaboration solution. Now, that display is officially qualified by Microsoft for use with Crestron RL and the Polycom CX8000 system. The Sharp PN-L802B offers a brilliant high-definition (1920×1080), high-impact LED display, making it ideal for use as a digital whiteboard, a key component of these group collaboration solutions.
“Sharp is proud to work with long time partners Crestron and Polycom to deliver an LED display that passes Microsoft’s rigorous qualification process for group collaboration systems,’ says Gary Bailer, Director of Displays at Sharp. The PN-L802B displays are available now and feature built-in dual-touch technology that’s ideally suited to Microsoft Lync.
“Lync has quickly established itself as the new universal standard for meeting rooms, and we are excited that Sharp has developed a world class large-format touch display that takes these systems to the next level in medium-sized and large meeting rooms,’ says Steve Samson, Crestron Executive Director of Business Development.
Based on Microsoft Lync 2013, the popular server-based application for communication between individuals, Crestron RL extends that experience to the conference room. It enables groups to communicate and collaborate in real-time, regardless of physical location, using the same Microsoft Lync 2013 infrastructure. Crestron RL combines the intuitive room control solutions of Crestron with the full collaboration features of Lync.
